In 1996, Schroeder was recognized by ACPA for his contributions to higher education by being honored as the recipient of the Esther Lloyd-Jones Professional Service Award. Stephen W. Schwartz is visiting senior fellow at the Policy Center on the First Year of College. He came to the Policy Center from Marietta College in Ohio, where he spent thirty-nine years.
